CTF Consultants Ltd was founded by Michail Chopra and Nicholas Taylor — two people who have spent their careers building real businesses across borders, not observing them from the sidelines.

Between them: an FCA-licensed brokerage built and sold to a global insurance broker, an international health benefits administrator grown across eight countries, five operating entities stood up from scratch, and AI deployed hands-on inside live claims and operations.

Michail Chopra

Partner & Co-Founder

Michail has spent more than thirty years in global insurance. He co-founded Mayfair Consultancy Services Ltd in 1990, secured its FCA licence, ran a captive alongside it and ultimately sold the book to a global insurance broker. He then built Mayfair We Care into an international health benefits administrator operating across the UK, India, Singapore, Australia and the Philippines — bringing AI hands-on into its claims and operations along the way.

He remains Founder & Strategic Advisor at Mayfair We Care, and brings that operating experience directly into CTF client work.

Nicholas Taylor

Partner & Co-Founder

Born and raised in Melbourne, Nick spent a decade overseas in London, Prague and India, and ran Managed Care at International SOS before joining Mayfair We Care in 2008. There he personally stood up five operating entities in five countries — licensing, hiring, systems, all of it — building the international operations behind the business.

At CTF, he leads engagements on the ground with clients.

Paul BJ McLean

Partner

Paul has spent four decades in specialist travel insurance underwriting and financial failure protection. He founded Our Way Travel, an underwriting MGA built from the ground up for UK travel operators, then spent two decades in director and managing director roles at International Passenger Protection (IPP) — a global leader in financial failure insurance, later acquired into the DUAL UK MGA structure (part of the Howden group of companies). There he helped pioneer supplier-failure (SAFI) and total-insolvency (TOFI) products and oversaw multi-million-pound premium books backed by global syndicate capacity.

He also served eleven years as an Executive Director of the UK Travel Insurance Association. As a Partner at CTF, he leads MGA structuring, capacity sourcing and travel-sector protection design for clients.
